Family run Creole restaurant. We visit them every year. The food is outstanding with creative flavours. They cater for all dietary requirements. The owners and staff are awesome. They are very friendly and explain the set menus in detail. The decor is very colourful and the restaurant is set in the owner's garden
A wonderful authentic Mauritian Creole experience! From the warm, welcoming hostess to the charming garden, one is made to feel at home. The home cooked dishes were all exotic and delicious. The staff explains all of the dishes as well as the classic Mauritian way to mix and eat them. A delightful experience that I would highly recommend.

Authentic local Mauritian Cuisine "vrai manzé lacaz" with a big family welcome and typical creole ambiance. The mauritian dishes are all "Mari Bon" and not too spicy...
Definitely one of those must try places. Once you try it, you'll definitely want to go back. They know what they are doing, they do it with passion and the best is you feel all of it; in the decor, the warm welcome, the delicious food & the smiles!
The best restaurant on the island! I visited with my wife today and lovely owner explained everything in details also help us with some contact details for covid test. Amazing personality and delicious food. Octopus curry the best in the world!
A hidden gem!Great food and nice variety of local dishes that come in reasonably priced set menus. Highly recommended if you want to try the local creole cuisine in a charming setup.I would have added a 6th star for the host!

Sind nach 20 Jahren wieder an diesen Ort derRuhe und Liebe zurùckgekehrt.
Wenn ihr in Mauritius seit solltet ihr unbedingt dieses Landestypische Restaurant mit hervorragender Creolischen Kùche besuchen.Mama und ihre Tochter fùhren dieses kleine Paradis.Die Mama kocht aus Leidenschaft und die 2 kùmmern sich liebevoll um ihr Gàste,man fùhlt sich wie zu hause.Der liebevoll gestaltete Garden ist der Hammer,mit Herzblut geschaffen.Dieser Ort strahlt einfach nur Ruhe und Harmonie aus.Ich kann es nicht wirklich beschreiben,man muss es einfach sehen und das geniale Essen probieren.

Une escale enchantée
Nous avons passé un moment très agréable dans ce jardin tropical soigné. Chaleureusement accueillis par Michèle l'hôtesse, nous y avons pris un repas mauricien, un rougail saucisse et des petits plats d'accompagnement excellents.
Le lieu semble à l'écart des sentiers battus et des hordes de touristes.
Nous avons apprécié.

Best food experience in Mauritius & the world
I traveled 57 countries and this was so far the best culinary experience ever.
Food was authentically delicious and made with love.
The ladies were amazingly nice made us feel like we were coming to their house. I felt like I went to my grandmother’s house and she took care of me.
The energy was amazing, the garden well maintained and clean.
One of my highlights in my trip to Mauritius.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Fantastisches Essen in authentischer Atmosphäre - Pflichtbesuch!
Wir waren im Januar 22 das zweite mal auf der tollen Insel Mauritius und vorab haben wir uns informiert, was wir denn noch nicht gesehen haben und wo man vielleicht auch mal hin sollte. So sind wir auf das Escale Creole aufmerksam geworden und schnell war uns klar: Dort müssen wir hin!
Wunderschön in einem Hinterhof gelegen mit einer tollen Gartenanlage. Von Außen rechnet man ehrlich gesagt gar nicht damit, dass man gleich an so ein tolles Fleckchen kommt. Schnell wurden wir von Marie-Christine und ihrer Mutter begrüßt und an unseren Tisch gebracht. Es gab zur Begrüßung einen selbstgemachten Ananassaft und Fingerfood in Form von getrockneten Bananen, frittierten Zwiebeln usw.
Nach einer kurzen Erklärung der Speisekarte, ließ man uns etwas Zeit für die Entscheidung, welches Menü wir denn wollen. Letztendlich haben wir uns für das Gourmet Menü (das umfangreichste) entschieden und es war genau die richtige Wahl. Wenn das Essen gebracht wird, bekommt man eine kleine Erklärung, wie man die Gerichte in Mauritius zu sich nimmt.
Das Essen war wirklich richtig gut und authentisch. Wir haben jeden bissen genossen. Nach dem Hauptgang haben wir uns mit der Mutter von Marie-Christine unterhalten und sie hat uns jede Menge über die mauritische Kultur erzählt, was wirklich sehr spannend war! Vielen dank dafür.
Als Nachspeise gab es ein Stückchen Bananenkuchen, ein Schlückchen Rum mit Vanillearoma, ein Stückchen eingelegte Papaya und etwas, was wir aber nicht genau wussten was es war, aber es war lecker 😀 Besonders der Bananenkuchen hatte es uns angetan, wobei auch die Papaya wirklich gut war und meine Frau mag eigentlich keine Papaya!
Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit und das tolle Essen. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Un petit moment de bonheur
Sans aucun doute l’accueil le plus chaleureux de l’île Maurice. Parfait pour une découverte des saveurs mauriciennes, ou pour une pause déjeuner en couple ou entre collègues. Le travail de décoration et le cadre nature « comme à la maison » rend l’expérience unique.
